La médiation culturelle
Le sens des mots et l’essence des pratiques
Culture pour tous is proud to have contributed to a Québec-made reference book on the subject of cultural mediation under the direction of UQAM professor Jean-Marie Lafortune, with the participation of members of the Cultural Mediation Research Group.
The book compiles academic debates as well as case studies and addresses various issues arising from cultural mediation within a socio-historical approach. It features a case study on the program Le musée en partage by Culture pour tous Project Director, Eva Quintas.

From art practice to social encounter
In 2006, the Journées de la culture celebrated their tenth anniversary.
Culture pour tous marked its ten years of cultural action by bringing
together two major events — The Convertibles, an art experience, and
La Rencontre a forum for reflection — under the theme of cultural mediation. The publication looks at these two events within the larger context of the development of cultural democratization practices in Quebec.
The texts — Sylvette Babin, Louis Jacob, Nadine Lizotte, Louise Sicuro — describe experiments and works that were launched by artists, organizations and municipalities and that renewed the relationship between art, artists and their fellow citizens. The DVD explains the process involved in the creation of
The Convertibles and presents excerpts from La Rencontre.
